    The CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Certification is a vendor-neutral credential.     As attackers have learned to evade traditional signature-based solutions such as firewalls, an analytics-based approach within the IT security industry is increasingly important for most organizations. The behavioral analytics skills covered by CySA+ identify and combat malware, and advanced persistent threats (APTs), resulting in enhanced threat visibility across a broad attack surface. CompTIA CySA+ is for IT professionals looking to gain the following security analyst skills:

    CySA+ certified skills are in-demand

    Properly trained IT security staff who can analyze, monitor and protect cybersecurity resources are in high demand. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts that information security analysts will be the fastest growing overall job category, with 37 percent overall growth between 2012 and 2022.

    Target Student

    The CompTIA CySA+ examination is designed for IT security analysts, vulnerability analysts or threat intelligence analysts.     CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

    CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CAS-003 is the ideal certification for technical professionals who wish to remain immersed in technology as opposed to strictly managing.

    Why is it different?

    CASP+ is the only hands-on, performance-based certification for practitioners - not managers - at the advanced skill level of cybersecurity. While cybersecurity managers help identify what cybersecurity policies and frameworks could be implemented, CASP+ certified professionals figure out how to implement solutions within those policies and frameworks.

    About the exam
